During the Second World War the HMS Queen Mary was used to move troops from North America to the European Combat Theater. During this time the ship was outfitted with 5 anti-aircraft guns and despite the constant ocean crossings this magnificent ship never encountered the enemy and never fired a gun. After the war all but one gun was removed. Below is a closer view of the remaining gun.
